Snow, snow, go away

So it started snowing a little after noon today.  We are supposed to get a lot of it the next 24 hours.  I personally hate snow.  I only like it on grass and on Christmas day.  Not only is it supposed to snow...it's supposed to be very, very cold.  Our high on Sunday is 9 degrees and our low is supposed to be like negative 2.  I am not looking forward to the next few days.

This afternoon the kids wanted to play in the snow so I caved in and said yes.  We all got our snow clothes on (which was like a half hour process) and headed outside. I felt bad that the drive way and sidewalks were covered in snow...so I grabbed the shovel and started shoveling.  Well, I did our driveway, sidewalk and then went over to our elderly neighbors and did theirs.  Now I am not telling everyone this to say, "look at me."    I really shouldn't have done it...my stomach is now aching.  last year, this would have been fine to do, but being about 6 months pregnant...not the best idea.  My mom called while I was shoveling.  I ignored the call, and called her back after i got back inside.  For some reason she just "knew."  And boy did I get a speakin to.  "I don't want you shoveling again this winter."  "You don't wanna go into pre-term labor," and so on.  I knew everything she was telling me was the truth, but honestly, I was just trying to help and not be bored.   My husband dittoed everything she said.  Anyways, I guess my point is sometimes certain good deeds shouldn't be done.
