Ok, so our little JD is two months old already! Wow, time flies. We took him into the doctor on Friday. He has gained 4 pounds and is 3 inches longer than the day he was born. That is 24 inches and 12.2 pounds. He is so cute and such a joy. So he also got a few immunizations. She combined a couple so it was only 3 shots, but let me tell you....Our nurse, who was wonderful, retired two months ago so we have this new nurse...who looks younger than me (she looks like she is 15). Well, she goes to give him his shots (the old nurse did it so fast, it literally took 5 seconds to give the shots and give bandaids). Well this new nurse took FOREVER. And with my precious 2 month old screaming because she was taking so long, I about grabbed the needles to do it myself. She took like 30 seconds, which is sooooooo long. I have always thought the moms were crazy when they would get all upset when their kids get shots, but I was an upset mom on Friday. It's hard hearing your child scream in pain when you can't do anything about it. After the nurse left the room, I looked at my mom and said, "I really want Pam back."
Anyways, now I have a very funny and embarassing story to share. We were at the doctors office and Rylee was in the room with us. Jaxton was laying on the exam table. The doctor comes in and starts to exam JD and things. I was right next to the table and Rylee was right next to me. As the doc was doing his thing Rylee starts to ask questions. At this point the doc had opened Jd's diaper to look at his anatomy and make sure everything was good down there. Then our inquisitive little 3 year old starts the conversation and it went like this..
"Yes, my brother has a penis."
"Yes he does."
"yeah, boys have penises and girls have ginas."
"Yes they do."
"My dad has a penis."
"yep."
(then she looks at the doctor) "And you have a really big penis."
Everyone in the room started busting out laughing. The doctor took it very well and just said,"well she know her anatomy," It was slightly embarassing but he knows the family very well so it was ok. Anyways, you gotta love those moments, right?!?!

That is HILARIOUS!!!! How funny. I love that she is totally open. Very communicative! LOL! So funny. What a great story. WE MISS YOU GUYS!
How would she know the size of the DR's? LOL Gotta love the things they say.
