We may have found the problem

So as most of you know, I have been having these horrible symptoms that have been getting worse. Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and MIGRAINES! I have had ear testing and last week an MRI to check for a brain tumor. Thank goodness, no tumor.
About 2 months ago my dad suggested we service the furnace because it hadn't been done in a couple of years. So, we called, they came. When he was servicing it, he found a slight crack in it and suggested that we get a new one. After some thought, we decided it was best. A month later, they came and installed it. Let me remind you that during this time, my health has been getting worse. Migraines every day. I felt like I was never sleeping because I was sooooo tired. A couple days ago a service guy came out to make sure everything was done "right" according to the city. This was our conversation as we headed down to the furnace.
me- "yeah, we found out there was a small crack in it about 6 weeks ago and had to replace it."
service guy- "have you been experiencing head aches?"
me- "me?"
s.g.- "yah, you in particular."
me- "um yes, to the point where I can't function for parts of my day. The migraines have been getting soooo bad."
He then told me that I most likely have carbon monoxide poisoning. I explained a little bit more about how they have been increasing with time, and we have only lived her since July and the daily migraines started at the beginning of September. He said that for some reason carbon monoxide poisoning presents itself through headaches and more so in women.
It is crazy to think that this is most likely the problem. It makes since. The last two days were the first two days in soooo long that I have not had a migraine. Could it be because the gases are no longer in our house???? I hope so.
I am thankful for a dad who felt prompted to have the furnace checked and that we were able to afford a new one!
I am thankful for a serviceman who took time to check carefully and explain things and
I am most thankful that JD and I are still alive! (we are the two that hardly leave the house). At the rate I was deteriorating I probably would have been in a coma next month, no joke. I was told death is very common when not fixed! so, moral of the story, service your household often!

WOW!!!! First of all, I didn't even know you were having ALL of those symptoms. That is insane. Second of all I am so glad you shared this story, because when we did our homestudy for adoption they made us by a carbon monoxide alarm. I was so annoyed, because it cost like 30 bucks, and I didn't get what it was for. But, NOW...I am grateful!!!
I am so glad that you are feeling better and found the issue.
LOVE YOU!

Holy Cow! What a blessing! Isn't it funny the little promptings we have? You never know why those promptings come, but we know that when we heed those promptings, blessing will come!

We have had a corbon monoxide alarm since having our first house. Jeff insisted on having one, and I was like what's the big deal? I am glad we have one now.
