health update

So, I went to the neurologist yesterday and found out some more info. Two things were diagnosed for sure 1) I have migraine disease/disorder and 2) carpel tunnel. I learned a ton about migraines and the brain I had no idea about. Most people confuse a migraine as just a bad headache. I know that is what I always thought. But it is so not the case. Migraines are cause because of chemicals in the brain and blood vessels swelling and pressing upon the head. Also, I have the nausea, dizziness and fatigue that go along with migraines. I learned that migraines should not be referred to as a bad headache. I was also told that I can't have any medications for it until I have completely weaned the baby from breastfeeding. :( So, I have already started, poor JD.

Also, the neurologist that I saw yesterday said she needed to consult with the other neurologists in her office to discuss my case. My appointment lasted 2 hours. (which I think was longer than she had even expected). The more we talked and the more she looked me over, the more concerned she became. I had to get a blood test for a neurological disorder (I can't remember the name).

The strange thing is is that after 5 pm yesterday the doctor herself called me. I have never had a doctor call me. It is usually their nurse who knows nothing and can never answer questions. She told me that she had consulted with 3 of her colleagues after I left, and after discussing me I need to get more lab work done because they are concerned it might be "this or that." (MS is one of the possiblities). She also said that I need to get another MRI of my ocular something or other. I see a specialist for my eyes on monday and will have the MRI later in the week. My eye problems may or may not be involved with the other problems I am having. I did go 10 days in a row without a migraine but I have had three major ones again this week. So they are back and it wasn't JUST carbon monoxide poisoning, I have other things going on! Just keep me in your prayers please. I need to stick around for my family!!!
