Well, Blake played in his first game yesterday morning. He did pretty good. (at least I was able to teach him throughout the week the difference between offense and defense, and he applied it pretty well). This age group is very fun to watch. They are soooo happy when they make a basket and even when a player on the other team makes a basket. At one point when Blake was on the court he noticed a police officer there watching his son. He stopped at half court and just looked at him for about 30 seconds before he realized he was in the middle of a basketball game. Also, another funny moment was at the very end of the game. The other team had the ball and there was about 10 seconds left (at this age level the ref counts down when there is 10 seconds left in the quarter/game). We were telling the boys to defend. Instead of Blake playing defense, he was at the top of the key jumping up and down, counting backwards with the ref. It was hilarious! He is a lot of fun to watch and I have never seen a kid so happy to be playing and having fun!

Blake had to defend this kid. Here you can't really see Blake's face cause he is covered up, but the kid is a good 8 inches taller than him!
