As I was cleaning this morning, I came across Rylee quietly playing in a room. It was so cute, I had to run and get my camera. She was playing "house" with Dora and her care bear. She was the mommy and she was getting her girls ready for school.

It brought back memories for me. I loved playing house as a kid. I could play it all day just as she can. I LOVE that my kids have such great imaginations and can play for hours on end without getting bored or needing to watch TV or play a video game. I catch them often, playing either with one another or by themselves, and it makes me so happy. Every time there is a friend over, the friend gets 'bored' very quickly and says things like "there isn't anything to do outside." "Why can't we come in and watch TV?" It drives me crazy!!!! In fact there is a friend here now, and after two minutes of being outside he is at the door saying he wants to come in because there is nothing to do. Meanwhile, Rylee is at the door giving him various options, "we can play camping." "No." "we can play hide and seek." "No." "we can play in the dirt." ahhhhhhh! Did I mention this drives me crazy? Playing outside is fun people!!!! (I could go on and on about this subject, but I'll spare you all the rest). I am just grateful my kids don't need a dumb electronic device to keep them occupied! Anyways, back to my original reason for this post.....isn't Rylee cute? Oh and do you like her new haircut? I love it on her

My kids have great imaginations too. I have found that when they have someone over, all they want to do is watch tv. It's so sad. All my best memories of my childhood are being outside, playing hide and go seek, or just riding my bike.
