We had his fun birthday dinner at his Grandma and Grandpa Kelley's house on Sunday to celebrate his 5 years! Oh wait, let me tell a funny story first. Grandma called and asked what Blake wanted for his big dinner. Blake's response was, well, disgusting. He wanted mac n' cheese, french toast, and chicken. All together, at the same time. Well, we served him mac n' cheese but we had steak, shrimp, and potatoes also. It was so funny. Every time we asked him, he'd give us three things that DID NOT go together at all! We ate dinner and he opened a couple presents and had cake and ice cream. All day he was driving us crazy asking, "Is it time yet?" meaning, can I open my presents yet? Oh to be a kid again and so be excited!
So today is Blake's 5th birthday! I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is such a big boy now. Blake is so special to us and we have been so lucky to have him on earth with us the past 5 years. He is one of the sweetest, most lovable boys in the world. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. He came 2 1/2 weeks early and Spencer almost had to deliver him because the doctor wasn't in the room. You see, this was one of the worst laboring experiences someone probably has ever had to go through simply because they did not believe me when I came in and said I was having a baby. Long story short, I told Spencer I felt like something was falling out. He looked and saw Blake on his way into the world, ran out got the nurse, and then the nurse came in and yelled, "We need a doctor in here, NOW!" Spencer was in the 'I am going to catch him so he doesn't fall out-stance' and the doctor ran in just in time to catch him and put him on my belly. And the doctor got paid for that. Feels like yesterday!
Anyways, Blake we love you. We love your special spirit. We love your laugh. We love the happiness you bring into our home. I love your cuddle-bugs every morning. I love how sensitive you are...you see, Blake cries if he sees me crying. It's the sweetest thing ever! You are so special to everyone and never foget that Blakers!
