Never thought I'd have to do that!

Yesterday afternoon something pretty scary happened. I was in the kitchen baking cookies for FHE. I had been in there for about 2 hours at this point and JD was getting a little fussy. So I asked Blake to go over to him (he was lying on the floor, right where I could see him). Blake was entertaining him for a couple minutes when he started to fuss again and then he started gagging. (JD is known to gag and cough. He has done this since he was born, but it usually just a second and it has been getting better). Well, it started to sound worse, so I turned around. As I did so, Blake ran into the other room. I knew something was wrong, so I ran over there. His little lips were all blue! So I hurried and picked him up, flipped him over, and started hitting his back really hard. After about the third hit, out came a penny! Oh I was mad...."Blake" I yelled "you could have killed him!" (I probably shouldn't have said it the way I did, but I was so scared and my heart was pumping). I then had to sit down with Blake and explain to him that we do not put ANYTHING in the baby's mouth. About an hour earlier, he gave JD a lick of a powdered donut (which he enjoyed, but I told him then that it was not ok to put anything in his mouth). Well, I was pretty scared , and JD had hiccups for a while, but he is fine now. So glad he is ok! Love you little bud!
