We had a fun 4th of July! We met up with some friends from college who were in town visiting family and spent the day with them at the Menan 4th of July thingy (don't know what it's officially called). ANyways, we had a blast, but it made for a very long day!
But our fun began Tuesday when the kids did 4th of July hats at the Library for craft day.
I took a couple pics of our fun yesterday. The hightight of the day was the pony ride. (Rylee has been wanting to ride a pony for quite some time)
Rylee got her face painted too!
The parade was hot and the fireman kept squirting their hoses, so this is what JD did every time he saw the hose! (He was in the back of the truck)
They had this little water slide that kept the kids cool in the 90*+ weather.
They also had a dunk pool and all the kids wanted to do it. I don't think JD knew what he was in for :) He was a trooper. Just whined for a minute right after, I think more because he was surprise by the sudden dropping than anything.
I took a pic of the traffic on the way back into Rexburg because I have never seen it like this! This is us trying to take our exit, but traffic wasn't moving too fast!
We had a great day with the Kelsey's and got home very late. Jaxton fell asleep during the fireworks and Blake kept asking when it was going to be over because I wouldn't let him fall asleep (We couldn't carry him back to the car too) and he just kept saying "I'm so tired mom." All three were asleep in the car within 10 minutes :)
